Christmas Gift Guide: Xmas Gift Ideas for Babies

I can’t believe it’s so close to December and Xmas shopping. Have you made a start on your Christmas shopping yet? I love shopping for babies. There’s a wonderful selection of gifts on the market, but how do you choose when there is so many? That’s where I come in and help you out. I have put together a babies Xmas gift guide comprised of items I have either been sent to review. Have reviewed previously and loved or Items I have purchased myself and highly recommend. These gifts are bound to make your babies smile on their first Christmas! If you’re looking for some inspiration for older kids, you can check out my Children’s gift guide here.

Halia Rose Teether

The perfect Xmas gift for a teething baby are the Halia Rose teething Elephants. Halia Rose is a family run business producing functional Jewellery and accessories for stylish mums. The gorgeous little Elephant teethers are the perfect size for little hands to grab. They are soft with textured ridges to help soothe sore gums. You can even pop them in the fridge for extra relief. Like all their products they are made from 100% non-toxic food grade silicone and have been tested to meet global safety standards. They are BPA free and contain no lead, latex, PVC or phthalates. Available in an assortment of colours Mistry Grey, Ginger, Aqua or Plum. These will make the perfect stocking filler for your little one. Emmie was lucky enough to be gifted the Plum elephant and she gives hers the biggest thumbs up and we just love them!

Find me a gift fairy tales

It’s never to early to start reading to your little one and Find Me a Gift have the perfect present for your babies 1st Christmas. They offer ‘Once Upon a Time: A Timeless Collection of Fairy Tales‘. This luxurious purple hardback is embossed with golden foil and the inside boasts beautifully detailed illustrations, making it stunning inside and out. Not only that but it can be personalised and inscribed with a little message meaning that long after your baby has outgrown fairytales at bedtime it will make a lovely timeless keepsake to treasure forever.

Tommee Tippee 360 training cup

I don’t know about you but I find baby stocking fillers quite hard to come by. However, I have another gift perfect for the stocking. The 360 degrees meal time trainer cup by Tommee Tippee is the perfect gift for weaning. Some babies can find the adjustment from breast or bottle to sippy cup quite difficult but these cups solve that. These no-spill trainer cups are lip activated meaning they can be drunk from anywhere on the rim. They have easy-grip handles, perfect for tiny hands. However, these can be removed as your child grows. As with all Tommee Tippee products these cups are BPA free. Emmie has found the transition to these cups from the breast so much easier than that of her sippy cups.

Christmas Gift Guide: Xmas Gift Ideas for Babies

Snowman and the snowdog beanie

Staying with Stocking Fillers, I always like to have a cute little ted sticking out on Xmas morning. I found this gorgeous The Snowman and the Snowdog Bean Toy. The Snowdog Bean Toys is super soft and measures 14cm in height. His tangerine nose, colourful knitted socks for ears and spots that are made from knitted pink gloves make him super cuddly. He is suitable from birth which makes him a perfect 1st Xmas gift!

Zippy bibs

Finally, for the stocking, I recommend the fabulous Zippy bibs. I was lucky enough to review some earlier on in the year and they are still my favourite Bandana style dribble bibs. I use mine non stop and they are still as good as new. Zippy has a huge variety of designs including gorgeous festive designs. If you want something a little less holiday specific then have a good nose. There will be something for everyone! A great gift to roll up and put in the stocking for Xmas morning.

Aveeno baby gift set

It wouldn’t be Xmas for anyone without some bath goodies and the Aveeno Daily Bathtime Solutions Gift Pack is the perfect bath goody gift for your baby. Aveeno has been specially formulated for babies’ skin, with natural colloidal oatmeal. The Aveeno Baby range helps soothe, nourish and protect your baby’s sensitive skin. Emmie has been suffering quite badly with dry skin and I have been using Aveeno and have seen real improvement in the softness of her skin.

Nuby Octopus bath toy

Staying with bathtime the Nuby Octopus Floating Bath Toy will make a fantastic gift to brighten up bath times! Although the age recommendation is from 18months. there are no age warnings. The age range is based on the ability to shoot the hoops. However, Emmie loves this toy. She loves that it floats around her. It actually floats which is a great bonus, believe me when I say not all toys that float actually float. The hoops act as a great teether. The octopus is really bright and has a very big happy face. Plus it has 8 very graspable legs. She might not be able to play hoops but she loves playing with it.

Morrck All Season Baby Hoodie

The winter months can be extremely cold and we all know that car seats and coats don’t mix. That’s why I recommend the Morrck All Season Baby Hoodie. They make great gifts, especially at Xmas. I was bought one of these as a baby shower gift and I love it. Made from one layer of anti-pil breathable fleece and one layer of 100% cotton jersey. The All Season Baby Hoodie travel baby blanket is universally useful for all car seat and pushchair/pram travel. The Morrck Baby Hoodie Travel Wrap meets the ECE R44.04 standard. We have a gorgeous baby pink and spot one, but there are so many colour options to choose from. There is something for everyone! Winner of a number of mother and baby Awards, don’t pass this one up!

Fisher price rainforest jumperoo

The Fisher Price Amazon Rainforest Jumperoo is a must-have toy for a baby. We got ours when My son was a baby four years ago and it’s still going strong now with Emmie. Ours is the old style, and the new ones look even better. There’s so much for babies to see and do and hear and they love to just bounce! They’re great for the moments when you need to keep the now moving baby in one spot entertained too! We love ours and I guarantee your baby will too!

VTEC first steps walker

Baby walkers are an ideal gift and the VTEC First steps Walker is an excellent choice. This walker has a number of activities including a detachable learning centre introducing words, numbers, shapes, animals and colours. A role play Phone, Lights and Sorters. This isn’t just any old walker! My son loved these at playgroup and we have just brought our daughter one for xmas! (also available in Pink).

Lamaze Cosimo Concerto Zebra

Finally, the Cosimo Concerto by Lamaze is a fun little interactive toy. Lamaze are renowned for making toys with bright colours for visual development and sparking babies imaginations. This cute little Zebra will not disappoint. With a full octave of notes, Cosimo allows budding musicians to begin creating their own music.

There we have it, I hope my recommendations have given you some great ideas for Xmas. Do you have a favourite out of the bunch? or have you gone for something completely different?
